Central Bedfordshire Council will only collect the personal data required in order to assess your grant application and provide this service to you. This is a task in the public interest and the Council will only disclose your data where it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
The council is required by law to protect the public funds administered. Information you provide may be used for the prevention and detection of fraud. The Council may also share information with other bodies that are responsible for auditing or administering public funds, including the Cabinet Office. The Cabinet Office requires councils to participate in data matching exercises to assist in the prevention and detection of fraud.
Personal data will be retained six years from the date of the last payment of the grant. You are entitled to request a copy of any information about you that we hold, have inaccurate data corrected, to restrict processing and to object to processing.
