Anyone who lives, works or studies in Central Bedfordshire may create or sign a petition.
The petition must relate to a function that is carried out by the Council or relate to an improvement in the economic, social or environmental wellbeing in Central Bedfordshire where any of its partner authorities could contribute.
To create an ePetition you will need to provide your contact details, a clear and concise statement covering the subject of the petition and what action you wish the Council to take. Your contact details will not be published on the website.
Once you have submitted your ePetition it will be validated before it is made live. You will receive notification if the ePetition is accepted/rejected. Your ePetition will normally be live for a period of up to 6 weeks.
Your ePetition will need to receive 100 signatures from anyone who lives, works or studies in Central Bedfordshire before you will be invited to attend a committee meeting to present your ePetition. If you do not wish to attend a meeting your ward Councillor can present it on your behalf.
