Have your say on Central Bedfordshire Council’s priorities
Thursday, 17 August 2023
Central Bedfordshire Council wants to hear your views about what the Council should focus on over the next few years.
Following the elections, the Council is reconsidering its key priorities and you can help. Residents are being asked what they think the Council should do more of and what they should do less of.
Residents’ views will help to inform the Council’s new Strategic Plan which will set out the key priorities for the Council to deliver over the next few years. These priorities will set the direction of the Council; the priorities will be reflected in other service plans and the Council’s budget. The priorities will also be measured, and progress regularly reported to Members and published online.
Councillor Adam Zerny, Leader of Central Bedfordshire Council, said:
As the new administration, one of our core principles is that residents' priorities will be reflected in the Council’s priorities, so as we think about what we want the Council’s key priorities to be for the next few years, we want to hear from our residents.
We know from our conversations with residents that there is high satisfaction with some of our services and there are some that we need to improve. It’s also important that we don’t just focus on the now but that we look to the future too - what we prioritise now will help set our area up to be a place where residents can have the best quality of life and opportunity.
Even if you think things are fine as they are, your ideas and thoughts would be really useful. We want to set priorities which really mean something to residents so your feedback would be helpful in putting together such a plan.
