Have your say on Edward Peake Middle School expansion plans
Friday, 4 January 2019
We have moved to the next stage of a proposal to expand Edward Peake Church of England Middle School by 60 places in each year group.
The publication of the statutory proposal follows a preliminary consultation, which was carried out during October and November 2018 and received good support. The proposals are in response to the increasing need for school places in Biggleswade, as a result of additional homes that have been planned for and built in the area.
Central Bedfordshire Council Executive Member for Families, Education and Children, Councillor Steve Dixon, said: “There is a real need for new school places in Biggleswade to meet the demand that comes with significant housing growth in the area, so following on from a good level of support received for the proposal during our preliminary consultation, we are now progressing to the next stage.”
