A proclamation ceremony will take place on Sunday 11th September to formally announce the beginning of the reign of HM King Charles III following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
A proclamation ceremony will take place on Sunday 11th September to formally announce the beginning of the reign of HM King Charles III following the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The ceremony will take place in Harpur Square, Bedford and proceedings will commence at 12.30pm in line with similar proclamations taking place across the Country.
The official proclamation will be read out at 1:00pm by High Sheriff of Bedfordshire Lady Jane Clifford, accompanied by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire Susan Lousada.
Local proclamations will take place in many of the towns and parishes in Bedfordshire once the County ceremony has taken place.
All members of the public are welcome to attend the County proclamation ceremony.
