Tell us what you need from your local pharmacy services
Wednesday, 8 June 2022
People living in Central Bedfordshire are being asked what they want from their local NHS pharmaceutical services and have until Sunday, 7 August 2022 to have their say.
Central Bedfordshire Health and Wellbeing Board, which is hosted by us, wants local people to contribute to its latest Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).
Every three years, the health and wellbeing board assesses pharmaceutical services in its area to discover what people in Central Bedfordshire need and whether there are any gaps in what is being provided by community pharmacies and other services under the NHS.
The assessment will be used by us, along with NHS England and the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group to help decide on applications for new pharmacies and for commissioning other services that could be delivered by community pharmacies and other providers.
The board is looking for views from anyone living in Central Bedfordshire or anyone providing pharmaceutical services in Central Bedfordshire.
Residents' and providers’ comments will inform the final Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment which will be produced by 1 October 2022.
