It is my honour to be Lord-Lieutenant, Her Majesty the Queen’s representative in the county of Bedfordshire, during this very special Platinum Jubilee year. There are so many events across Bedfordshire, and indeed nationally, including services of thanksgiving, lighting of beacons, parades and street parties which will bring people together to celebrate and show our gratitude to HM The Queen for her loyal unswerving service to the country and commonwealth. I am very much looking forward to visiting many towns and parishes in the County to join in with all the vibrant community activity that has been planned and to meet as many people as possible.
