Free leisure taster sessions for public at Dunstable Centre
Wednesday, 24 July 2019
In partnership with SLL, we're offering a range free taster session and classes at the new Dunstable Centre from Monday 29 July to Friday 2 August.
These sessions are bookable from the 22 of July.
There is something for everyone including pre-school gymnastics for children, Active Life classes for those over 50 and many exercise sessions for adults, so residents are encouraged to come along and try one of the classes that are on offer in the centre.
The centre has a brand-new 100-station gym and offers 67 fitness classes each week, alongside two squash courts, a large sports hall, multi-purpose fitness studios and much more.
The Dunstable Centre has now been open for over a month, and has welcomed 7,444 visitors to the leisure facilities.
Councillor Ian Dalgarno, our Executive Member for Community Services, said:
It’s been great to see so many residents using the leisure centre, library, creche and café in the Centre during the first few weeks of opening, the building really is a true community hub.
We’re offering these free taster sessions in the leisure centre to encourage more people to come in and try out the fantastic new facilities.
The centre is currently offering the public the chance to join now and pay nothing, apart from a joining fee, until 1 August. This membership package includes unlimited use of the fitness suite, workout classes and swimming at any Stevenage Leisure Limited indoor pool. The public are also being offered the chance to sign up for an annual pass, which they will only pay for 10 months.
To book the free leisure taster sessions, residents must call reception on 01582 361400. Sessions and are on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
