Hundreds of people turned out to see Clare Kilby from Stotfold receive her award as Central Bedfordshire’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ at the fifth annual ‘Cheering Volunteering’ awards ceremony held at The Grove Theatre, Dunstable on 4 June.
Clare’s decades of dedication to the community of Stotfold was recognised at the awards ceremony, earning her a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’. Clare was nominated thanks to her years of involvement with and support to various children’s groups, the theatre group and the Christian Choir plus her volunteer work at the tea rooms at the restored Stotfold Mill.
The annual event, organised by us, working in partnership with the Volunteer Centres as part of Central Bedfordshire Together, began in 2015 to thank the many volunteers and voluntary organisations across Central Bedfordshire for the often-unheralded work they do to help others in their community.
