Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy (BESA) offers a range of free, short, qualifications which are suitable for anyone with an interest, or can be used as continuing professional development (CPD):
- Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
- Level 2 Award in an Introduction to Neuroscience (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
- Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy in the Workplace (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
- Level 3 Certificate in Understanding Autism (Free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria)
BESA also provides a range of other funded courses covering various industries. Lots of these courses are suitable for anyone with an interest, with no requirement to work or hold any experience in a relevant job role or sector. Many of these courses are free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria. These include but are not limited to:

- Retail and customer service
- Business administration
- Warehousing
- Social housing
- Cleaning
- Working with children and young people
These courses are delivered by partner training providers on behalf of Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy.
