It’s not all about the things that go wrong. We love to hear about those moments when we make a difference.

Below are a few recent compliments we have received:

I had been in rent arears and was struggling with my mental health when I received a call from one of the Income Management officers. Initially I hesitated to answer due to the fear of talking about my arrears again – previously, officers had just called to moan at me. However, I did decide to answer that call, and the officer who called genuinely wanted to discuss how I was, to give me some advice about looking at things in a more positive light, and how to better manage my mental health. He also advised me that my rent arrears had now been sorted out. This officer made me feel at ease during the call, and the overall experience is why I am making this compliment. I have since shared my experience with lots of people.

I would like to genuinely thank you for you efficient, honest, kind, but always professional support whilst I applied and tried to reside in the Central Bedfordshire area. The level of support and assistance you personally provided went above and beyond anything I’ve experienced previously, and I just wanted you to know. It has made a huge impact on me and was greatly received.

I had applied to live in Central Bedfordshire and because of this, I was asked to view two beautiful properties. I later found out that these viewings were a mistake and that I wouldn’t actually be able to have either of them. I was very disappointed as I am disabled so it is not easy for me to make such a long journey and cost me a lot of money. However, when I spoke to someone one in the Housing Demand team, she was very honest with me, and advised she would help me find somewhere else.

Whenever I spoke to her, I felt I could trust everything she said as she was honest, always did as she said she would, and followed the correct processes. She made me feel valid, heard, that I matter, and that I was safe in her hands. Thankfully, I no longer need to move to Central Bedfordshire, but due the wonderful experience I had with this officer, I have shared my experience with everyone I can.
