Determined admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools

We're the admissions authority for all community and voluntary controlled schools. This means we're responsible for admissions to the school. Part of this responsibility includes consulting with relevant parties where changes are proposed and determining the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools each year.

Academic year: 2025/2026

Following approval by Executive delegated decision, the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools for 2025 to 2026 have been determined. Following consultation, there were no changes to the previous year's policy. The coordinated schemes for admission in the academic year 2025/26 have been determined as follows:

Academic year: 2024/2025

Following approval by Executive delegated decision, the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools for 2024 to 2025 (PDF) have been determined.

Following consultation, there were changes to the following schools:

  • Clipstone Brook Lower – published admission number reduced to 60
  • Leedon Lower – published admission number reduced to 60
  • Thornhill Primary – catchment area now includes the Linmere development

Following a statutory notice consultation, the following schools are changing age ranges and published admission numbers:

  • Dunton Lower CofE Lower
  • St Andrews CofE VC Lower
  • Sutton CofE VA Lower
  • Edward Peake Middle
  • Wrestlingworth CofE VC Lower

The coordinated schemes for admission in the academic year 2024 to 2025 have been determined as follows:

Following approval by Executive delegated decision, the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools (2023/2024) have been determined.

Following consultation, there were no changes to the previous year's policy.
