Installation of solar PV park development and associated infrastructure on land at Brogborough Landfill Site, Woburn Road, Lidlington, Bedfordshire.
The appeal is made under section 78 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) against a refusal to grant planning permission. The refusal decision was taken at Planning Committee against officer advice.
The application seeks full planning permission for the installation of a large-scale solar park comprising an array of ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar panels. The solar array would occupy the eastern side of the capped and restored Brogborough landfill. The application would also involve ancillary infrastructure to support the proposed solar usage.
The appeal will be heard via a public inquiry at Central Bedfordshire Council, Priory House between 24 June and 28 June 2024. Potential additional adjournment dates are scheduled for 20 August to 22 August 2024.
The inquiry will begin at 11am on 24 June and then from 10am on all other days.
