Decision following consultation
Our Executive reviewed the consultation feedback and made a decision about what is going to happen at its meeting on 5 December. The agenda and papers is published online, you can read the report online.
The Executive agreed to continue working with residents on the sites to address the issues. However, Executive also agreed to continue to plan for a fall back position to acquire the sites should the recommended process fail to bring the site up to the required standard. In this event, officers will bring a recommendation to Executive, to acquire Greenacres and The Stables using a Compulsory Purchase Order if necessary.
The council will now set up a project board to oversee and manage the ongoing engagement with the site residents.
