The decision is to approve changes to the proposed design of the Clophill Roundabout Scheme.
The views received during the engagement stage earlier in the year helped shape the plans we consulted on and, based on what people said during the consultation, we made significant changes to the scheme where it is possible to do so and still deliver on the scheme’s core objectives – a requirement of the government funding for this project. The changes would incorporate a reduced 30mph speed limit on the roundabout approaches, a revised location for the bus stop on the southbound A6, 2 additional Toucan crossings (on southern and western arms) and associated footways subject to the decision(s) of Traffic Management Meeting (TMM).
