Facilities and services to support new homes is a key part of the Local Plan and we know that access to GPs and other medical services is a concern for residents. We can make sure buildings are provided for health facilities. However, Central Bedfordshire Council cannot provide the GPs or other medical professionals, these can only be provided by the local NHS, Bedfordshire Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board (BLMK ICB). The Council will continue to work closely with all health providers and champion the need for more health provision in our area.
