Neighbourhood plans are produced by neighbourhood planning groups, focusing on their local community only and form part of the overall development plan for the area. Once adopted, they will sit alongside the Local Plan and decisions on planning applications will be made using both the Local Plan and the neighbourhood plans, and any other material considerations.
