Public Space Protection Orders

In Autumn 2023, we consulted on our existing Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO) relating to dog control and alcohol related anti social behaviour in public spaces to see if there was support for them to continue as they are and whether there might be additional locations that should be included.

The results of the consultation are on our website as part of the Executive Committee papers.  Most respondents agreed with the continuation of the current order and over 60% agreed with the addition of the two new areas to the PSPO - for the alcohol related ASB element to be applied to Clifton Park, Clifton and Astral Park, Leighton Buzzard. Consultation with partner organisations, including town and parish councils, did not identify any concerns with the current order or its conditions.

The Executive made a decision on 9 April 2024 to continue the existing Public Space Protection Orders and include the two additional areas.

You can read the official outcome of the meeting recorded in the minutes on our website.
