School nurses are part of Bedfordshire Community Health Services’ 0-19 team
The team is made up of specialist nurses, staff nurses and support health professionals. When a child comes to school, they take over their care from their health visitor. They support a young person’s physical and emotional needs from when they start school until they leave.

It offers advice and support on a range of issues such as sleep and emotional health or how to make an appointment with our team. This is also a great mechanism to find out how to access other local services.
