Adult Social Care Strategy

We have developed a new Adult Social Care Strategy, which will guide our efforts from 2024 to 2029 for Central Bedfordshire with a vision:

To help people live their own lives and play a full and active part in the life of the community.

Our strategy is built on collaboration, reflecting feedback gathered throughout 2024 from residents, people who use services, their carers, communities, and professionals within adult health and social care. We've listened closely to what people have told us, and their feedback has been essential in shaping the strategy.

Our strategic aims and priorities

The strategy outlines four strategic aims and key ambitions to steer the future development of adult social care services in Central Bedfordshire. These ambitions align with the council's priorities and our commitment to enable residents to live active, healthy, and independent lives, and to ensure that those in need of support receive the right care at the right time and in the right place.

Our strategic aims are supported by clear "we will" statements, ensuring that our residents know what to expect and providing a roadmap for continuous service improvement.

If you need the information in a different format, please call us on 0300 300 8303 or email customers@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk

Formal adoption

The strategy was formally adopted at our Executive Meeting on 10 September 2024. We look forward to working together with our community to help people live long, independent, and fulfilled lives.
