Costs for entering a notice of marriage or civil partnership
From 28 May 2024 the fee for entering a notice of marriage or civil partnership is £42 to £57 for each person. We take the fee when you book your appointment.
Fees charged at any of our approved venues vary, depending on the day of the week you choose.
If you decide to marry in an approved venue such as a hotel, you must then check with the superintendent registrar that registration officers will be available before you confirm the date and time with the venue.

Certificate fee of £12.50 is charged in addition to the ceremony fees.
Ceremony fees at an approved venue from 28 May 2024
- Monday to Friday: £442 for marriages, £376 for civil partnerships
- Saturday: £520 for marriages, £442 for civil partnerships
- Sunday: £581 for marriages, £509 for civil partnerships
Ceremony fees for The Court House register office, Ampthill from 28 May 2024
Ampthill Room (maximum capacity 60):
- Friday: £255 (for marriages and civil partnerships)
- Saturday: £400 (for marriages and civil partnerships)
- Sunday: £485 (for marriages and civil partnerships)
