Our response
- Extend provision of chairing skills training for Chairs of committees– ongoing from October 2023
- Create Member Development Teams channel - By December 2023
- Re-establish Member Development Forum with cross-party representation- by May 2024
- Undertake holistic review of learning and development requirements – by May 2024
- Review and refresh the Member Development programme aligned to the Charter Mark requirements, agree priorities and enhance Member access to training, coaching and mentoring support - by August 2024
- Tailored learning packages developed and offered to Chairs – by August 2024.

Establish working protocols between officers and members.
Our response
- Initiate twelve month trial of flexible committee meeting start times, including evening meetings – by November 2023
- Re-establish regular group leader briefings – by December 2023
- Review Member/Officer protocol as part of Constitution review – by May 2024
- Hold extended discussion between Executive and Directors to reflect on one year of working together and agree future ways of working – by June 2024
- Review of leadership team’s engagement, meeting schedules and ways of working, as an outcome of the above ‘one year in’ reflection – by June 2024
