Youth support service
Our Youth Support Service also provides services for young people aged 13 to 19 years old (up to 25 for young people with special needs). The service manages the delivery of a comprehensive ‘youth offer’ which includes the provision of information, advice and careers guidance to support access to education, employment or training opportunities and the provision of youth work and positive activities.
Not in education or training?
If you are still in education your school or college should provide you with careers information, advice and guidance.
Contact the on-site careers adviser for more information.
If you are not in education, employment or training
Youth Support Service can provide careers advice, information, and support to young people living in Central Bedfordshire who are not in education, employment, or training.
This service is available to young people aged 16 – 19 years old. However, support is available for those who have an Education, Health and Care Plan, are looked after, or are care leavers, and this extends up to 25 years old.
Personal guidance advisers offer impartial information, advice, and guidance around education and careers and support planning for transition, helping young people overcome barriers and make a successful transition to adulthood.
