Early Years professional training - Mending Hurts
Mending Hurts is the KCA model for promoting recovery from trauma by enabling people to notice what they, or other people, do in their most effective interactions with vulnerable and traumatised people.
Throughout the day, the following themes will be drawn out and emphasised:
- the impact of trauma and unmet attachment needs on children’s ability to learn and behave in a pro-social way
- the positive effect of co-regulation on settling children to be in a place where they can learn and develop pro-social behaviour
- the impact of working with dysregulated children on staff and how to manage this
This training is suitable for: preschools, day nurseries, childminders, and after-school clubs.
Please book on our Learning Management System by searching for Mending Hurts and clicking on "See Classes" once logged in.
