Do you work with 16-25 year olds or do you employ 16-25 year olds?

Want to learn more about how you can support the mental health of young people you employ. Free training in variety of topics that impact young people’s mental health is available for workplaces in Central Bedfordshire (currently only funded for Central Bedfordshire workplaces).

LGBTQ+ & Mental Health – ½ day

This online course aims to raise awareness of what is it like to be a LGBTQ+ young adult and the impacts this may have on mental health. It includes -

  • understanding gender and sexuality
  • terminology and language – why is it important?
  • challenges around being LGBTQ+, what society tells us…
  • best ways to support LGBTQ+ youth
  • unconscious bias
  • emotional intelligence
  • active listening skills
  • personal values and beliefs
  • mental health and LGBTQ+ YP
  • what does the data tell us
  • Equality Act, Human Rights Act, Gender Recognition Act (other legal and local frameworks)
  • referral processes to local /national services and guidance
