A to Z of recycling - Bottle tops (hand pump lid)

Hand pumps on bottles, such as soap bottles, cannot be recycled and should be placed in your household black bin. Hand pump tops should be removed from bottles and placed in your black household waste bin before recycling the empty and clean bottles in your dry recycling (green/orange lidded) bin. 
Hand pumps cannot be recycled because they contain metal that cannot be separated from plastic.
