A to Z of recycling - Lids

Plastic bottles and lids can be left on containers when placed in your dry recycling (green/orange lidded) bin at home. 
Glass bottles and jars with metal or plastic lids can be recycled at glass bottle banks across Central Bedfordshire. Lids or bottle tops on glass items will be collected and removed to be recycled during the glass recycling process. There is no need to recycle glass jars or bottles with a lid made of a different material separately. By keeping these lids on glass jars and bottles, you’ll help reduce the risk of them getting lost during the sorting process.
