Ever since Central Bedfordshire Council put a 2 hour parking restriction in the lay by for the shops on Lincoln Way, Harlington commuters using Harlington train station are now parking on both sides of Lincoln Way towards the top end where the road meets Church Road causing nothing but chaos for cars entering and leaving Lincoln Way safely. Cars entering Lincoln Way from church Road at busy times become stuck on that blind bend because they are now giving way to cars leaving Lincoln Way and it’s dangerous.
For residents of Lincoln Way it has made reversing on and off driveways very difficult and in some cases residents are having to drive onto the grass verges to get onto their drive as there is not enough room to swing the vehicle in otherwise.
For the school buses we have witnessed multiple times the bus drivers mounting the grass verges to get around the parked vehicles which ruins the grass and the appearance of the village.
With the huge development of houses currently being built in Harlington this is only going to get much worse.

We ask Central Bedfordshire Council to put double yellow lines on Lincoln Way from Church Road to as far down as Monmouth Road or at a minimum Brian Road.
We are also aware the businesses on Lincoln Way where the 2 hour parking restriction has been put in place would like to do something with the land outside their shops to free up more parking spaces for their customers to use which we strongly agree to.
More off road parking for the local businesses on Lincoln Way along with the yellow lines to stop commuters parking dangerously and without inconsideration for the residents is an issue that needs to be resolved. Thank you.
