Silsoe Pre-School offer a friendly and welcoming environment where children aged 2 1/2 to 5 years and Practitioners enjoy attending every day. Our Ofsted Outstanding Pre-School offers children the very best start in their early year’s education. Our aim is to build on the child’s natural desire to explore and learn in a calm, nurturing environment.

Through dynamic and inspirational leadership the Pre-School Manager will provide safe, high quality education and care for Pre-School children; you will act as a professional and passionate ambassador for the setting, effectively managing our stable and skilled team of practitioners on a day to day basis. The Pre-School Manager will ensure the setting upholds required policies and procedures, and that all statutory, legal and setting obligations are honoured.

Responsible to:

You will report to the Pre-School Committee, who are elected, unpaid trustees that are mostly either parents or carers of children who attend. The committee of trustees, alongside the Pre-School Manager are responsible for: safeguarding, child protection, managing the Pre-School finances, employment, policy compliance / updates, employee welfare, fundraising and ensuring that the Pre-School works in partnership with the children’s parents/ carers.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning as well as an enthusiastic and inspirational leader. You will be self-motivated with a commitment to maintaining the high standards already in the Pre-School.
