Those working in the early years workforce and play a key role in the delivery of activities and purposeful play. A practitioner will work as part of a team to ensure those in their care feel safe and secure.

By the end of this apprenticeship, you'll have:
- Level 2 Early Years Apprenticeship
- CACHE NCFE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner

Apprentices will be supported by an experienced assessor to achieve the knowledge, skills and behaviours as set out in the apprenticeship standard. Each apprentice will have an e-learning package linked to their apprenticeship and is required to attend monthly tutorials. All apprentices are observed in the workplace and have written tasks to complete.
- Requirements of this apprenticeship

Apprentices must show competence across all age groups from 0 to 5, and must be given a minimum of 6 hours per week for off-the-job training.
Maths and English requirements
Apprentices without level 1 maths and English will be required to undertake a functional skills programme and achieve a minimum of level 1.
Apprentices who already hold level 1 but do not hold level 2 will be required to work towards achieving level 2 whilst on programme.

Portfolio of evidence, professional discussion and a knowledge test.

Levy payers: £4,000; non-levy payers: fully funded if apprentice is aged 16-21, otherwise 5% (£200)
