Name

Kings Wood and Glebe Meadows

Overview

Kings Wood is an ancient woodland with views across the Marston Vale and next to Glebe Meadows, a series of ancient meadows managed by grazing and hay cutting and alive with colourful wild flowers in mid-summer. Both are of huge importance to wildlife and are protected by Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) status. There are no surfaced paths within the wood and meadows, but a surfaced path links Houghton Conquest to Glebe Meadows.
