- Overview
-
This 4.2 hectare site is an important grassland habitat with a series of ponds. It is home to a variety of wildlife from wildflowers to birds, butterflies and other invertebrates and has the status of Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This is the result of several hundreds of years of cattle grazing, which is maintained today to help the wildlife thrive. The site can be walked around or taken as a link to the public right of way network and the Greensand Ridge Walk.
This site is managed in conjunction with The Greensands Trust(link opens in new window).
