- Overview
-
This site has received the prestigious Green Flag Community Award this year. The Green Flag Awards recognise well managed, high quality green spaces. Any green space is eligible to win this award, providing visitors can enter free of charge.
This 5.5 hectare is mainly ancient semi-natural woodland with some planting of cherry and ash. Well known for bluebells in spring, the wood is also home to a great variety of bird life all year round. The entrance from the road is via a steep flight of steps. Paths through the wood link to the public rights of way network, the nearby Grand Union Canal and the Greensand Ridge walk. The Friends of Linslade Wood has information about the woodland, activities and a history of the site.
