e-petitions - Permit Parking for Osprey Road (Bird's Estate)

Residents of Osprey Road, Biggleswade ask Central Bedfordshire Council to undertake a formal consultation regarding residents parking. Since the previous consultation, several years ago, Biggleswade Town Council have changed the length of time that cars can park in the town centre. Combined with the introduction of residents parking schemes on nearby roads has led to excessive on-street parking for Osprey Road by commuters and town centre workers. Residents are often unable to park anywhere close to their own homes, the road is often difficult to navigate due to inconsiderate parking and cars are frequently parked dangerous close to junctions. We would ask that the council now re-consider a residents parking scheme for Osprey Road.

Please see above. Residents are unable to park near their own homes due to the significant amount of commuters and town centre workers parking on Osprey Road. All other nearby residential roads are permit only and we feel that Osprey Road should be too.
