As part of the government guidance for Local Authorities to become regional adoption agencies, Central Bedfordshire Council and Milton Keynes Council have formed an Adoption Agency called Adoption Connects (link opens in new window).

The joint agency work together to provide comprehensive adoption services for both councils, including:
- finding adopters for children - supporting them through the assessment process, providing training, guidance and support
- supporting adopters after adoption - offering advice, information, training, signposting to relevant services, and opportunities to meet other adoptive families and members of our team
- advice and information for birth families - assissting families of children who have been or are about to be adopted
- supporting post adoption contact - facilitating contact between children, adopters, and birth families
- access to birth records - helping adopted adults access their birth records.
