Parking fines - paying parking fines and appealing parking fines

Paying parking fines

Penalty scam

We have been made aware of a national scam text message being circulated requesting customers to make payment for a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) they have received from their local council, followed by a link.

Please ignore these texts and do not use the link to make a payment.

We don't contact motorists via text message to obtain payment for a Penalty Charge Notice.

Any legitimate PCN correspondence will quote a reference number, a vehicle registration number and detail which local authority the PCN relates to.

You will only receive a PCN as a physical ticket on your vehicle or a letter to the registered keeper address associated with the vehicle.

Any PCN issued by us can be challenged or paid on our website directly.

Information on parking on single and double yellow lines

Parking on single yellow lines

Parking restrictions on single yellow lines can be enforced during times outlined on time plates in that area. Time plates will show restricted days and times. If you park on a single yellow line during restricted times, you could be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

Parking on double yellow lines

Parking on double yellow lines can be enforced 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you park on a double yellow line, you could be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).

Our responsibilities

Our Parking Attendants (Civil Enforcement Officers) issue penalty charge notices to vehicle owners who are parked where they should not be.

They carry mobile computers and still cameras so that it can be checked that a parking fine was issued correctly.

They do not have targets and do not receive bonuses based on the number of fines issued.
