Parking permits for market traders
Parking for market traders is available in the Ashton Square car park in Dunstable (on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) in marked red bays. These are reserved for market traders until 9:30am, after which the public can use them.
How much a permit costs
Our market trader permits are provided by Permit Smarti and cost:
- £68.30 if you are trading one day a week
- £136.60 if you are trading 2 days a week
- £204.90 if you are trading 3 days a week
How to apply
Parking sessions are now virtual, meaning that you no longer need to display a pay and display ticket in your vehicle. To apply for, or renew a parking session go to the Permit Smarti (link opens in new window) website and select the market trader parking session.

Casual market traders can purchase a reduced daily parking session for £3.70 per day from the pay and display machines located in the car parks.
Market traders must display a trader’s permit to qualify for the reduced parking session.

Pay as you go: purchase a £3.70 ticket which will cover you for the day when displayed with a permit.
