Broadband plans in Central Bedfordshire
The superfast broadband project previously run by Central Bedfordshire Council has come to an end.
A £5 billion government programme run by BDUK, Project Gigabit, is enabling hard-to-reach communities to access lightning-fast gigabit-capable broadband.
The programme includes:
- A Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme – help for homes and businesses to cover the costs of installing gigabit broadband.
- GigaHubs – to connect public sector buildings such as GP surgeries, libraries, and schools in hard-to-reach parts of the UK.
- Superfast Programme - reaching the remaining premises that have broadband speeds of less than 30 megabits per second (Mbps)
