Glass collection

We provide a box for collecting glass bottles and jars to the areas below. We collect this fortnightly on the same day as your refuse collection, except for Caddington and East Hyde.

East Hyde - has a Monday glass / Tuesday refuse collection.

What goes in?

You can put any glass bottle or jar in your black box. Please remove all lids or bottle tops (these can go in your recycling bin). Some examples include:

  • wine and beer bottles
  • food bottles and jars

What stays out?

  • ceramics
  • Pyrex
  • crockery
  • light bulbs and thermometers (these can be recycled at your local tidy tip)

If you live in an area without a kerbside glass collection, you can take your glass bottles and jars to a bottle bank.
