Garden waste collections restart

If you've paid for your garden waste bin to be collected in 2024/25, fortnightly collections will resume on 24 February 2025 or 3 March 2025, depending on which week your garden waste recycling bin is collected. Find out how to subscribe or re-subscribe for 2025/2026.

Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) booking system – coming soon

We are introducing a booking system to use the four Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). Residents will need to book a time to access the centres. 

The booking system will help:

• Ensure the sites are for Central Bedfordshire residents only 
• Reduce queues and waiting times
• Provide staff assistance on-site with heavy or difficult-to-move items
• Boost recycling efforts, with staff available to help customers reuse and recycle more.
• Control commercial waste disposal
