Apply for transport for low income families

You may be able to receive school transport assistance under low income grounds if:

  • aged 8 to 11 and the nearest suitable school is at least 2 miles away
  • aged 11 to 16 and attend 1 of the 3 nearest schools between 2 to 6 miles from the home address
  • aged 11 to 16 and attend the nearest school of their chosen religion or belief and it is between 2 to 15 miles from the home address
  • are in receipt of one of the following benefits

You will require proof of your benefit to be dated no more than 2 months prior to your application. You will need all pages of any award notices or letters. Please ensure you have these documents to upload before starting the application as you cannot submit without them.
