Determined admission arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools for 2018
We're the admissions authority for all community and voluntary controlled schools. This means we're responsible for admissions to the school. Part of this responsibility includes consulting with relevant parties where changes are proposed and determining the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools each year.
Following approval by Executive on 7 February 2017, the admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools have been determined in our community and VC Schools Admission Policy (PDF 188.2KB) .
Please note the following changes:
- the designated measuring point for Shefford Lower School (PDF 336.9KB) has been moved from the school entrance to the war memorial in the town centre
- priority Fairfield Park Lower School areas (PDF 276.9KB) have been created within the existing catchment area to determine which school site successful catchment applicants would be offered a place at. Fairfield Park school’s measuring point (PDF 188.2KB) has also been moved from the main entrance at the Dickens Boulevard site to an equidistant point between the two school sites
