Citizens Advice Service
The local Citizens Advice Service is based in the building and offers a walk-in or telephone service between 10am-3pm Monday-Friday on 01582 661384. Visit their website their wider services offered.
Dunstable and District Citizens Advice Service
Library
The Dunstable Library will be open to the public when the building is open via self-service, with library staff on site during key hours. Reception staff will be able to assist in the event of a query if the library staff are not available.
Opening times
Monday to Friday
- Self-service: 6am to 9am
- Staffed hours: 9am to 6pm
- Self-service: 6pm to 10pm
Saturday and Sunday
- Self-service: 7am to 9am
- Staffed hours: 9am to 4pm
- Self-service: 4pm to 9pm
Visitors during self-service library hours are supported by colleagues from the Leisure Centre – limited assistance will be provided with Self-Service equipment. Customers wanting to join the library, or customers with account enquiries, will need to access the library during staffed hours.
Library computers will be available weekdays from 6am until 5.45pm and then from 6pm until 9.45pm, and 7am until 3.45pm and then from 4pm until 8.45pm at the weekends. Please note printing will initially only be available during staffed hours.
The library will be holding:
- craft sessions and children’s MakerSpace
- Sensory sessions for under 5’s
- Toddler tales for under 5’s
- Rhymetime for under 5’s
- Lego
- Duplo
- K’nex and mega blocks activities
- Minecraft club
- Adult coffee mornings
- Colour-me-calm and Knit & Knatter both every Friday
Crèche
The centre has a crèche that will be running Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm.
Qualified and experienced staff provide quality care and enjoyable learning experiences for babies and children under 5 years old.
The crèche can be booked 14 days in advance for direct debit and annual members and 8 days for centre members.
All bookings must be made at reception in person or over the phone. The crèche is only available to members and is priced at £2.90 per hour or £4.40 per 90 mins.
