Spring Bank Holiday Weekend 2024

All bus routes in the Central Bedfordshire area will run to a Sunday timetable on bank holiday Monday 27 May 2024, and will run a normal Saturday timetable on Saturday 25 May and a normal Sunday timetable on Sunday 26 May 2024.

Bus times are available on operators’ websites or Traveline.

Train services will be amended over the bank holiday weekend, including some early morning / late night engineering work on some lines. Train times are available on operators' websites or National Rail Enquiries.

Bus Service Changes from Tuesday 28 May 2024

Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard area

Red Eagle route 162 will have a change to route in Bletchley, to run via Aylesbury Street, Queensway and Princes Way, but journey times are not being changed.

Biggleswade, Potton and Sandy area

Herberts’ Travel have unfortunately relinquished their contract to provide routes 85, 85A, 188, 189 and 190 and so we have worked with Grant Palmer Ltd. to ensure that replacement/alternative services are provided. New timetables will be available as soon as possible.

Bus Service Changes from Sunday 2 June 2024

Luton, Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard area

Arriva routes A, Z, 28, 28B, 31 and 321 will have timetable changes. The general level of service on each route will be similar to now, but some very late evening journeys on route Z from Dunstable to Houghton Regis will be withdrawn.

The Cromer Way area of Bushmead will be served by new hourly Arriva route 26 from Warden Hill to Luton Town Centre, operating an hourly service Monday to Friday daytimes.

Arriva routes F70 and F77 will have a new timetable. Tilsworth will be served by route F70 instead of route F77, and will gain a Saturday afternoon service. The route taken between Bletchley and Milton Keynes is changing, and both routes will be extended beyond Luton Interchange to and from Luton Airport Bus Station.

Each route will continue to run hourly during Monday to Saturday daytimes, with a half-hourly service on common sections of route. Route F77 will run hourly in to the evenings on Monday – Saturday and during the daytime on Sundays.

Many routes in the Luton area also have timetable changes, with some routes gaining an evening and / or Sunday service.

Centrebus routes 40 and 40A and South Bedfordshire Dial-a-Ride routes 43, 47, 74 and 232 will be replaced by a new network of routes operated by South Bedfordshire Dial-a-Ride. New timetables will be available as soon as possible.

Arlesey, Clifton, Haynes, Henlow, Henlow Camp, Shefford area

Stagecoach Bedford routes 9A, 9B, 9C and 9D will have timetable changes. The general level of service on each route will be similar to now.
