Approved premises for marriage and civil partnership ceremonies
If you have a venue that you think would be a perfect location to hold civil weddings and civil partnerships, you need to apply to for a licence.
To be licensed, a venue must be a permanent structure, dignified and an appropriate place where couples can celebrate an important day in their lives.
Fees
The cost of a licence is reviewed annually.
First application:
- minimum fee for 2 rooms only £1546
- £100 is to be added for each additional room to be licensed
Renewals:
- minimum fee for 2 rooms only £1147
- £100 is to be added for each additional room to be licensed
The licence is issued for a minimum of 3 years. Fees are non-returnable.
